How To Get Rid Of Muffin Top

I have already explained this in my article How To Get Rid Of Love Handles, and of course I will say it here again: Getting rid of extra weight around the waist is not that difficult, but most websites out there will give you the wrong advice.

How do you know that my advice is better? Well, although I can only swear to you that my brother and I together lost as much weight as I weigh now after the diet, there is another reason why you would trust me. And that reason is that my diet works without exercising.

You can exercise, of course, and I'm not someone who would ever say that you shouldn't. It's just that most people put a lot of effort into exercising and then give up if things don't go well. This is totally understandable in my opinion. If it takes so much effort to go jogging every day for one week, and you don't achieve immediate success, of course you want to give up. But today, let's focus on how you can have a better time losing weight.

What other websites try to make you believe

Here are some of the typical things I often read on other websites:

  • Count calories to lose weight
  • You can't lose weight if you don't get moving!
  • Losing more than [enter any arbitrary amount] of weight per week is impossible
  • Losing too much weight is dangerous!
  • Diets that forbid certain types of food are dangerous and evil!

Okay, let's take these things apart piece by piece.

Counting calories: Oh my goodness! Not the old calorie counting again. It is very old-fashioned and totally unreliable. It's like saying that it makes no difference whether you eat a hot dog with mustard sauce or ketchup, OR with chocolate spread or jelly, because all of them are spreads used on buns! What nonsense. Let me explain:

Carbohydrates or sugars and are measured in calories, they influence your blood sugar level.
Fats are measured in calories, they are deposited around your waist, but usually only with the help of sugar.
Proteins are measured in calories, but they are used for building muscle tissue and never cause obesity.

I can make even clearer: Was Arnold Schwarzenegger ever obese to you? Because he ate a lot of protein, does this men his calorie intake was too big? Well, this man consisted mainly of muscles, and although he consumed a lot of calories, it would be wrong to only talk about his food in terms of calories.

What I'm trying to say is: Different nutrients have different roles in your body. You need to at least differentiate between carbs, fats and proteins, and not put them all in a blender and call them calories! Don't worry, it's not your fault as a reader, it's just what the media and other websites often try to tell you. If you like to go with this mediocre method of evaluating foods, okay, but then all you get is mediocre results.

You can't lose weight if you don't get moving:

This is the dogma of people who are either sports enthusiasts and believe that everyone who is overweight is to blame for their weight, or have lost weight with exercising and now believe that they have found the one and only remedy for obesity.

While it is true that exercising can help and that some people are even successfully losing weight with it as the only means of weight loss strategy, there are enough people who never lose any weight because their eating patterns are so messed up that exercising won't help! Knowledge is needed here!

On the other hand, if your eating habits are correctly set up, you can lose weight even without exercising. I have no scientific evidence for this, but something much better: My own experience.

Losing more than a certain amount of weight is impossible

They either say that or they say it's unhealthy. I don't know why it would not be possible to lose 5 pounds instead of just 1 or 2. Why? Someone who is extremely overweight and has a lot to lose, will eventually lose a lot. I have also talked about this in my post How Much Weight Can I Lose In One Week?

Losing too much weight is dangerous!

Why would that be the case? I can't think of any logical explanation. There is only one reason why people may think so: They think that fast weight loss always goes at the expense of the body, which occurs when people leave all vitamins and minerals behind. If you want to read how to lose Weight The Healthy Way, you are welcome, but even if you do it the Fast Way, I don't see why it should be dangerous.

Tell me something else: Isn't it more dangerous to run around with too much weight? With every day that a person is overweight, the chance of diabetes and heart attack grows bigger.

Diets that forbid certain types of food are dangerous and evil

Some diets forbid fats, others forbid carbs. They are not dangerous because there have always been times in our civilization when we had to go without certain foods. People nowadays should not act as if everything we need had always been around the corner conveniently. It is definitely okay to at least lose weight for a couple of months with a food-restricting diet. And apart from that, the best diets out there are designed to last!

How do you get rid of muffin top?

It's very simple. You change a few habits. Not only do you start one diet. You start several highly effective diets at the same time!

This is what you do:

1. You start a low carb diet or even a No Carb Diet

3. You begin to understand what The Difference Between Hunger And Cravings is.
4. You start Losing Weight In Your Sleep
5. You learn why it's so easy to Lose Weight Without Exercising
6. You find out that you can Skip A Meal once in a while to speed things up, or even Fast for a short time to really give your diet a turbo start.
7. You Weigh Yourself Once A Week, and not more often!
8. You acknowledge The Importance Of Drinking
9. You make sure you achieve Maximum Health Through Eating.
10. You monitor your success AND your failure By Knowing Common Mistakes.

And: You bookmark this blog and keep checking as new information comes in!

Why does it have to be the low carb diet?

Because low carb or no carb are the only reliable ways to lose weight fast. Although fat is your problem when you are overweight, it comes from sugars. Read more about the famous question Low Carb Or Low Fat.

Isn't low carb dangerous?

Just another thing that other people try to make you think, especially calorie counters who only believe in weight watchers and other more conventional methods of weight loss. What more is there to say?

Weight loss is not only for disciplined, strong-willed or totally motivated people. My brother was not disciplined, he wasn't strong-willed, and he certainly wasn't motivated after many failed attempts at losing weight. He was just very stoic and pragmatic.

The most important thing when you are trying to lose weight is not to be motivated, disciplined or to have a strong character. You also don't need a lot of time or money. You only truely need knowledge. The knowledge is here, on this website. And why would you trust me?

Because I'm not like other websites. I don't try to hold back information in order to sell you an e-book. My content is for free. And if I advise you to buy supplements or protein powder, it's only because I've tried them and know they work. But when it comes down to it, you can lose weight no matter what, following my free advice.
